FAQ

“How much does it cost?”
You can attend an initial one-off session for £4-7 without joining Pushy Mothers, but after that we ask you to commit to get fit and sign up with Pushy Mothers by paying the joining fee £20 as well as pre-paying (for a minimum of four sessions) to secure your place in the class.

“Why do I have to join? Can’t I just turn up?”
Pre-paying is a commitment to us and to yourself which will push you to attend regularly to see the best results. The joining pack is great value for money. You will receive an exercise advice booklet with homework exercises, resistance band, membership card for local deals and also access into the private members only club which offers national discounts and even more information about postnatal exercise, nutrition and well-being.

“What if it rains?”
Pushy Mothers is an all-weather workout. A bit of rain won’t stop us! Just make sure you are prepared with a lightweight waterproof for yourself and a cover for the buggy. If the weather makes it unsafe to exercise outdoors then your instructor will still be on hand to offer advice in the warmth of the cafe.

“What if my baby cries?”
Many of the classes are timed to schedule with nap times but if baby does cry we are all in the same boat so don’t be stressed. Believe it or not, the boss of the class is not always the instructor. If your baby is unhappy we'll change the format of the class to keep him moving in the pram.

“Can I bring my toddler along, I have a double buggy?”
Second time, third time mums are all welcome. Preparation is the key. Let the older child run around the park or go to the playground before the session, then give them a snack pack to keep them busy in the pram whilst mum is training. Give a sticker as a reward for good sitting or crack open the bubbles! Girls are often better than boys at sitting through. The extra weight of a heavier child will also increase the intensity of the workout for you.

“Can I bring my dog?”
Sorry, but no dogs are allowed. Yours may be the nicest of dogs but the other mums in the class may be apprehensive and it may interfere with their workout and yours.
